The Responsibility of Leadership

I always liked this quote from John Mellecker. I think it perfectly encapsulates one of the most fundamental 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 associated with leadership: the need to nurture work environments where individuals can thrive and realize their human potential. A positive leader does this because they understand that their relationship with those whom they lead must transcend the transactional and be one of genuine interest in the other as an individual.
